This is a translation of a classic Jewish scholarly work. This edition comes complete with the original Hebrew text, as well as, the English translation. This is a great book for people beginning to study Torah and mitzvot, and people who are already conversant in these subjects. The book details all the 613 biblical commandments in the order from the first to the last. It also describes possible reasons for each, how the mitzva is explained in the Talmud and an insights and philosophy. The translation is very good, but this is not a light read. It should be studied and contemplated. There are copious notes which provide further explanations and references. In short, a great work!
