About - Otzar HaPoskim’s Responsa Treasury

Otzar Haposkim was established nearly 70 years ago by Rav Isser Zalman Meltzer zt”l. Rav Isser Zalman zt”l was the father-in-law of R’ Aaron Kotler zt”l and the Rebbe of Rav Shach zt’l. Otzar Haposkim was envisioned as a world center for collecting, cataloging and disseminating Halachic Responsa. Otzar Haposkim flourished under his leadership and became a center of Torah.

Searching the database:
Aside from being able to access, read & print the texts of the books - Many of the books contain search options within the actual texts through a sophisticated, yet easy to use search engine. When searching you can search by Word, Word combinations, Equidistant (change to: “variable”) word spacing, Roots, Soundex, and more. You can even create your own customized subject index, as well as hyperlinks, allowing the complete and meticulous navigation of the database.
